Optical metrology

Summary

  • creation of STL files from the scan data
  • false color maps by surface comparison from TARGET to ACTUAL
  • form and position evaluations
  • section analyses
  • thickness analyses
  • initial sampling
  • step measurements
Optische Messtechnik - ATOS Compact Scan

Digitalization

For digitization by a 3D scanner, we use various technologies from different suppliers. In this way, we ensure that we can offer the right measuring device for every situation. The technologies we use:

  • laser triangulation (mobile and CNC)
  • stripe light projection
  • photogrammetry
  • laser tracker

Regardless of size and material, almost anything can be digitized. Each of our mobile devices offers flexible and accurate area measurement.

Evaluations / analyses

We are pleased to compare the 3D scans obtained by digitization with your CAD models and analyze the surface deviations for you. But also the position and composition of geometric bodies can be determined. Furthermore, thickness and section analyses and much more are no problem. You will receive individual protocols from us with your measurement results as PDF or even the complete work session, which you can open at any time with the viewer versions of our evaluation software, which are available free of charge.

Reverse engineering

If you do not have a data model of your component available, or if changes to the CAD are required, there is the option of data reverse engineering. The generated 3D scans are converted to polygon models and output as STL files. With the help of these meshes, partial areas and complete components can be modeled into new CAD data (digital twin).

Photogrammetry

Photogrammetry serves as an aid in the digitization of particularly large parts. This ensures that maximum accuracy can be guaranteed here as well. But this measurement strategy is also very useful for analysis purposes. For example, for climate change tests in which heat-resistant reference points are applied to desired areas. These are read in before and after the simulation and compared with each other.

Your benefits

  • Because our devices are mobile applicable, we are also pleased to come to you and measure on site.
  • The digitized networks are permanently stored and can be realigned and evaluated at any time without rescanning.
